Volunteerism

Temple Anshe Sholom is built on a solid foundation of volunteerism, which remains a strong theme to this day. Truly the best way to enhance our lives and those around us is through the mitzvah of volunteering. There are many ways to volunteer and help to serve the temple and the entire community - such as:

  • Services - Volunteering to participate in a service is both an honor and a great way to support the temple. Please contact the temple office if you are interested.
  • PADS - Our temple is a long standing supporter of the Public Action to Deliver Shelter (PADS) program. Volunteers are always needed for this program. If you can help, please contact Teri Gaby at (708) 755-7846.
  • Library - The temple is in need of volunteers to select new books and provide guidance for students and temple members who wish to use the library. If you have some time during the day and would like to help out, please contact the temple office.

Again, these are just a few examples of how you may support the temple through volunteerism.  For a current list of project that need volunteers, please contact the temple office.
